Testing / Certification
The industry's leading device that is currently in the test pattern for fire and smoke containment, as well as meeting the requirements for NFPA-101 life safety. This will be the first sliding corridor door operator in the detention industry to have completed and successfully tested, as well as passed all the requirements of UL 10C 2-hour fire rating, along with UL 1784 smoke containment.

Summit Safety Closer was developed from years of dissatisfaction with device suppliers that told the industry their standards were not achievable and could not be code compliant thus placing people and property at unnecessary risk. The industry asked and we listened.

Summit Safety Closer Inc. is led by Gary Gayhart and was developed through 100+ years of combined industry experience and input from architects, installers, maintenance teams, and industry consultants. Summit Safety Closure is partnered with Allis Manufacturing Corp. and operates from Milwaukee WI.
